The base of the marble, with its cool ice blue and lavender-grey tones, provides an airy feel. Intense veins of amber, rust, and molten gold streak across the blue background. Because of the varying mineral densities, the gold areas often appear to sit on a different level than the blue, creating a rich, three-dimensional surface.
